Irene Ulrich

Irene is a North Carolina native and has lived and worked in Asheville for ten years. Trained as a clinical pharmacist, Irene works in direct patient care managing chronic diseases and completing complex medication reviews. She is also a passionate advocate for LGBTQ+ communities, especially gender diverse people, and has worked extensively on gender health clinical services, education and community-based research.

Irene holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina (UNC) Eshelman School of Pharmacy and will complete her MPH degree from the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health in May 2023.

In her free time, Irene loves running and watching UNC basketball. Her favorite things are belly-laughing with her 2-year old daughter, Ila, and teasing her partner, Bruce, about pretty much anything.
