Prior to joining Dogwood Health Trust as an Impact Officer, Stacey Hughes worked at National Grid, an electric and gas utility located in upstate New York, for 37 years. Stacey held numerous customer care positions as well as (electric) grid modernization project management positions including customer-controlled electricity demand reduction, power generation and distribution localization and most recently, electric vehicle charging station deployment. Stacey was a co-coordinator of the Capital Region Clean Cities coalition whose program won the national “Eager Beaver” award for most aggressive program plan. Stacey was also an active member of the Northern Rivers Family Services board and the Cystic Fibrosis executive board.
Stacey is married to Karen, is a cyclist, hiker and gardener who has been restoring a 1930’s craftsman bungalow and its yard for 20 years. Last (but not least), Stacey is a dedicated dog owner of two pit bull mixes named Lucy and Nipper.
