CANDLER, N.C. (WLOS) — Folks living in western Buncombe County will soon have a new option for health care.
Next month, the Western North Carolina Community Health Services will open the Hominy Valley Health Center.
It will be located in the ABCCM Hominy Valley Crisis Center.

It's funded in part by Dogwood Health Trust.
Pairing the new clinic with the crisis ministry will offer support for people who may have limited choices for health care.
"I think the idea here is to meld health care with some crisis services for the community here in the Candler area, so it will allow people to come in to one location and get assistance with food and other emergency needs -- and also have access to comprehensive, affordable health care," said Scott Parker, with WNC Community Health Services.
