# Angela Anderson, CFRE

Angela is a native North Carolinian, born in Chapel Hill. She  holds a B.A. in Sociology from Appalachian State University and a M.A. in Sociology from North Carolina State University. She also holds the credential of Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

Angela has worked in western North Carolina’s nonprofit sector for over 10 years, most recently serving as the Vice President of Gateway Wellness Foundation in Marion, NC, where she administered the Foundation’s resource development and grantmaking initiatives and spearheaded Gateway’s Leverage Fund program in partnership with Dogwood Health Trust.

Angela served as one of Dogwood Health Trust’s early team members, launching Dogwood’s Leverage Fund. Before that, she managed the resource development logistics and operations for Mission Health System’s Department of Philanthropy.  Here she oversaw the implementation and execution of major gift cultivation and solicitation that yielded over $10MM in revenue.

In her free time, Angela loves exploring western North Carolina’s small towns with her husband and daughter.
