Prior to joining Dogwood Health Trust as an Officer for Health and Wellness, Channah was a quality leader at Eleanor Health, an innovative addictions medicine start-up. She helped create the policies, procedures, training materials and EHR clinical infrastructure to launch the first clinic in two months and then helped Eleanor Health grow into six states (NC, NJ, MA, WA, LA, OH) over two years. In her leadership role at Eleanor Health, she oversaw the quality and care model team. Before Eleanor Health, she had a quality leadership role at Mission Health System in Western North Carolina, helping the system achieve a 100% Medicare quality score in 2018. In her role as Director and VP for Clinical Excellence and National Policy for Centerstone of America (TN, IN, KY, IL, FL), she led projects to integrate primary care into behavioral health programs and improve quality of care. She also served for five years as the Quality Monitor for the SAMHSA-HRSA Center for Integrated Health Solutions. She oversaw the quality assurance process for this national training and technical assistance center aiming to assist Federally Qualified Health Systems and Community Mental Health Centers adopt integrated care practices.
Channah has been a project management professional (PMP) since 2015. She received her Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in Evidenced Based Practice Across Systems from the University of Tennessee in 2009 and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Hope College in 2003.
Channah loves to cook, sing in her synagogue choir and walk her daughter to school at Claxton Elementary in Asheville. Channah, her wife Jessica and their daughter Evelyn love to hike together and spend time with their three rescued pets -10-pound, bear-chasing dog Jasper, regal cat Sophie Belle and their very curious rabbit Molasses.

Invest in an improved early childhood education ecosystem with the resources and sustainability to provide developmentally appropriate, affordable and accessible education and care to support ages birth to five, so that all children in WNC enter kindergarten ready to learn
Source, analyze and share a comprehensive set of publicly available data that provides a regularly updated, county-by-county picture of access, workforce and student outcomes in early childhood education and K-12 education specific to Western North Carolina
Loans, guarantees, and other financial tools to leverage funding opportunities
Increase affordable housing for lowest-income individuals and families
Support age-appropriate resources in affordable and workforce units, rental and owned
Invest in housing with sustainable supports for physical and mental health and wellbeing
Support healthy and safe revitalizations that work against displacement and gentrification, preserve home ownership and create generational wealth.
