Jordan Kinser is originally from over the mountains in Butler, Tennessee, and is proud to call Western North Carolina home. He is passionate about creating thriving, healthy communities for all Appalachians. He earned a BA in History and Sociology from Milligan University in 2013 and is currently earning a Master’s in Public Health from Boston University. 

Jordan has worked in a variety of nonprofit and corporate settings, managing philanthropic investments, conducting advocacy against payday lending, leading workforce development workshops, running data analytics for leading risk assessment firms, and even managing commercial honeybee hives. He is excited to be part of the Community Investment team at Dogwood and help improve the health and wellbeing of our community.
