Meade comes to Dogwood from the field of public health research. With a focus on rural and underserved populations, her work has included effectiveness and implementation research in Alaska, Kentucky, and North Carolina. She is impact-driven and interested in a wide range of approaches to improve health outcomes and quality of life for historically marginalized communities. She holds a BA from Duke University in Political Science, Global Health, and Documentary Studies and is currently earning a Master of Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Asheville.
Meade grew up on a small farm in South Carolina, just across the border from Western North Carolina, and is thrilled to be living in Asheville. In her free time, she enjoys being active outside, creating wearable and decorative art, and spending sweet times with family and friends.
