Sarah Grymes serves as the Vice President of Community Engagement. In this role, she leverages her Western North Carolina roots to build sustained relationships with organizations, communities and local leaders to ensure that community voices inform Dogwood’s strategy and investments.From 2021 to 2024, she was the Vice President of Housing where she led Dogwood’s partnerships with community organizations to expand affordable housing units, support residents to safely remain in their homes and reduce homelessness across the region.
Prior to joining Dogwood, Sarah was the Executive Director of the Housing Assistance Corporation in Hendersonville where she oversaw more than $25 million in real estate assets and secured land and financing for single and multi-family housing. She also served as the Director of Resource Development for the United Way of Henderson County. Earlier in her career Sarah was a bank executive at Mountain Bank, Mountain 1st Bank, and Trust Bank of North Carolina.
