Brian Hart comes to Dogwood with a broad background supporting leadership. In his career at the University of North Carolina Asheville, he most recently served as a project manager in the Office of the Chancellor. He also held the roles of administrative assistant in the Physics & Astronomy Department and Manager at Lookout Observatory after his start in the Asheville Graduate Center and bookstore.

Brian prioritizes building and nurturing numerous relationships with individuals and organizations within the community. He looks to use his many years of experience with strategic planning, logistics, supporting and leading teams, and operationalizing initiatives to benefit the Dogwood team and the many Western North Carolina organizations it supports.

Brian received his B.A. in Literature, with a concentration in Creative Writing, from UNC Asheville and his M.A. in Higher Education, with a concentration in Community College and University Leadership, from Appalachian State University. He is also a graduate of Leadership Asheville.
