Originally a South Florida native, Sierra has been in North Carolina since 2007. She graduated from UNC Asheville with a degree in sociology and didn’t want to leave the beautiful mountains. For the past five years, she has worked in city and state government, first for the Asheville Police Department as the Investigations Office Assistant and then as HR Business Services Coordinator. While at APD, she implemented a new payroll software for 200+ employees, served on the awards committee for several years and worked with the command staff to implement new onboarding, separation and data storage methods. She most recently worked as an Office Manager for Alcohol Law Enforcement, a state agency with the Department of Public Safety. In this role, she supported the Asheville division in timekeeping, administrative and investigative projects.

In her role at Dogwood as Administrative Coordinator, she hopes to use her prior experience and skills in organization, project management, and problem-solving to become an integral part of the team.

One of her favorite hobbies is baking. She also enjoys candle making, seeing live shows (mostly classic rock), and traveling with her husband.
