Jessika Bond was born in Miami, Florida and raised in Asheville, North Carolina. As a first-generation college student, she holds a B.A. in History and Anthropology from UNC Asheville and an MPA from Western Carolina University. Before joining the Dogwood Health Trust Team she spent 8.5 years working in higher education fundraising, and 9 years working in non-profit programming, teaching, fundraising, and community organizing in both Asheville and New York City. Jessika loves working with all humans, getting to know members of her community, listening to others, learning, and most importantly she loves to strategize about ways to maximize impact with those who are also passionate about affecting sustainable change in their communities. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters, going on a run, reading, and listening to music.
