Local to Asheville, NC, Madeleine served a year with AmeriCorps after high school, working in Queens, NY, as an in-class aid and literature tutor for 8th-grade public school students. She recently graduated from Warren Wilson College with a BA in Sociology and Anthropology and worked as a social science research assistant at the college during her senior year.
Madeleine comes to Dogwood with a background in community engagement, having spent the last few years working with Land of Sky UCC as a building caretaker, working to support community partners using the building as a meeting place for local projects and social activism. At Dogwood, she is responsible for supporting the administration with daily tasks and long-term projects.
