Eric Holt joined Dogwood Health Trust in April of 2020 as an Executive Assistant to the Impact Team and became an Impact Associate in April 2021. He has been living in Western North Carolina since 2015. Prior to that, he spent 15 years living in Mexico, where he owned and operated several businesses. Eric chose to return to WNC to be closer to his mother, who was born and raised in Macon County. He began working for Mission Health System in 2016 and was an Executive Assistant to one of the Senior Vice Presidents. Most recently, he was the Executive Assistant to the President / CEO of Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers, as well as working in Administrative Management and Outreach / Grant Management. Eric is a North Carolina Certified Peer Support Specialist and is passionate about the recovery community. In his years working in non-profit healthcare, he has seen the need and importance of our safety net organizations. It is why he is so driven by Dogwood’s commitment to dramatically improve the health and wellbeing of all people and communities of WNC. Eric and his husband Brian live in Waynesville and enjoy working in their yard and exploring the beautiful mountains of WNC.
